May 8th! Young Artists…All Winners

The 6th District
Congressional Art Competition
was a real challenge for me to judge.

2017 was my third year judging the 6th Congressional District High School Art Contest. I was honored to be invited back to judge again. The event was hosted by Congressman Peter J. Roskam. The entries consisted of drawings, paintings, photography and mixed media. The talent and skill of these high school students always amazes me. I congratulate all of them for making my task tough …and very rewarding. Although the first place winner travels to Washington, D.C. for a special reception, the artwork of my two merit winners will hang in congressman Roskam’s West Chicago office for a year.
