"A lost landscape. Remnants are all that remain of the vast Illinois tall grass prairies. Small sections, like this one, are preserved and cared for by volunteers. In their free time, they labor to save a diminishing natural resource. I stop here to paint the goldenrod and sumac that art just beginning to show late summer colors."
